Sometimes giving feels just as good as taking... It was proved during the MAC Warehouse Sale March 2012
April 1, 2012
• Bobbi Brown, Bumble and Bumble, Estée Lauder, Haul, MAC, Origins, Warehouse Sale
Last weekend I went to the MAC/Estée Lauder Company Warehouse Sale. I originally planned to just go on Saturday (thanks to Joyce), but I got some extra tickets for Friday and Sunday, thanks to Winnie, so I went for them and ended up going to all three days! Funny how things worked out.On Friday, I got to the sale at around 7pm with my friend. We shopped around for a bit, didn't go too crazy, but here's what I got:
MAC pan eyeshadow ($4 ea.)
Top row, from L to R: Satin Taupe, Golden Rod, Prussian Bottom row, from L to R: Phloof, Naked Lunch, Yogurt |
Bumble and Bumble Bumble South Surf Spray ($12)
I was very close to get this surf spray last summer, but I didn't because the price is quite steep and I usually don't spend much on hair product. So when I saw this at the sale, it was a no brainer for me. I'm looking forward to use it this spring and summer!
Origins Clean Energy Gentle cleansing oil ($12)
Bobbi Brown Party Shimmerbrick ($25)
I don't own any Bobbi Brown makeup other than their Corrector, so I'm pretty excited to try this out. But to be honest, the pattern and colour on the product is what has drawn me to it.
MAC Naked Honey Skin Salve and Naked Honey Hand and Body Cream ($15 for both)
If you have read my favourites posts, you might already know that both are staples in my everyday life. I just ran out of the Hand and Body Cream today, so this new tube came just in time. At this rate though, I will need a new one soon. I should have picked two up :/. On the other hand, I don't see myself running out of the Skin Salve in a very long time lol.
I was looking forward to the charity bag section, considering what Joyce have gotten that day (see her post here). However, they only put out the MAC Mineralized Lotion. I am not a huge fan for the lotion, so... I don't need it and didn't get them.

On Saturday, I went back with Joyce and Emily at around 11am. To our surprise, there was a huge line at the door, which didn't happen for the past few Saturday sales at the same time. It was so strange. We were not too comfortable to be in line because of the rude people behind us. They talked loudly, kept pushing us, and mocked us in Mandarin, as if we don't understand it. So we decided to respond to their mocking in English, which kind of quiet them down lol. We're not mean people, but that doesn't mean that we let people step on us, literally, off the hook so easily.
After being stuck with those obnoxious people for close to an hour, we finally got in and did some quick shopping. Joyce and I already got stuff that we wanted, so we weren't going too crazy. In fact, she only probably got one thing, and I got nothing at the actual sale. When we got to the Charity Bag section, we were quite thrilled to see those MAC Dazzlespheres! I got four, and traded two with different ones, so I ended up with the follow products:
MAC Dazzlesphere! Smoky Berry Crushed Metallic Pigment Kit and Smoky Blue Crushed Metallic Pigment Kit

These are awesome charity bags, for only $5 for each sphere! They were originally $38.50 + tax each, so I was like "scored"! The best thing about this is that the $5 you pay for those all go to Breast Cancer research entirely. The limit for charity bag is four, so I only got four. Giving indeed feels as good as taking!

Overall, this was a very impressive sale, especially their charity bags. With the addition of Bumble and Bumble to the sale, I think it has become more attractive. The bad thing is that the prices have gone up and did not come down since three sales ago, which is quite sad. If you have MAC PRO card, this sale might not appeal to you as much, because for most of the MAC products available there, you could get it for cheaper with your MAC PRO discount! However, this sale is still a great place to find Limited Edition products, and it also features other brands under the Estée Lauder Company, such as Bobbi Brown, Clinique, Ojon, Origins, and of course, Estée Lauder, etc.
Did you hit up the sale last weekend? What did you haul? Let me know =)
