Every girl loves a little CHANEL in her life | Recent Beauty (& Fashion) Purchase
One of my most frequent places is a CHANEL counter near where I used to live. I still go to the area once every few weeks and I always stop by the counter. It takes me a while to pull myself away from it, but this time, I couldn't; I was bad and I left with two things, which saddens my wallet.
I have swatched their new line of cream blushes maybe 5 times from 5 different counters. I really wanted to but just didn't jump the gun. I don't know what got me, maybe the SA was overly pushy, so I caved. In a perfect world, I would have gotten at least 4 out of 5 of these cream blushes because they swatch really nicely - creamy but smooth. But since they're permanent now, I decided to try one out. This one caught my eye not because it's an extremely unique or bright colour, but it's a very wearable one that I think I would get more use out of it. It seems to have a brightening effect, which I would need from all the semi-allnighters I pull :P.
I usually steer clear away from pearl-like finish lipstick because I just always associate it with more old lady makeup. Not that there's anything wrong with it but I still want to look more youthful and those lipsticks seem like it will make your lips more wrinkly than it actually is. But this lipstick swatches really well. It claims to be a luminous matte lip colour. The SA told me that this is a matte lipstick and even though it's "luminous", it won't be overly shiny. She also said that it's not as drying as other matte colour. This really intrigues me and make me want to test it out myself. Plus, I have never had a lipstick from the Rouge Allure family, so I thought it's a good one to try.
I also got something else from Chanel that is not exactly a fashion item but I don't know what where to bucket it. Anyway, I got new glasses! It is a wayfarer type frame with gold chain and leather strip on the side, much like the chain their signature 2.55 Classic Flap Bag.
It was time to get new glasses, prescription was apparently way off on my old ones (don't learn from me, you gotta take care of your eyes). The frame is on a more expensive side but the quality is superb. My optician told me to take care of your glasses, you gotta clean it every day. Anyhow, I'm just glad that I finally got new glasses, no more squinting my eyes to look at the street signs :).
Until next time,
