It's the time of the year again when your inbox is filled with invitations to all the holiday parties and gatherings. It's great and fun but usually you will have to go straight from work and there's not enough time in between so we can all use a quick turnaround in terms of makeup. So here's what I propose...
Daytime Office Look
For everyday office look, I like to start with a good canvas. I usually would use a concealer with a powder foundation so it doesn't look too cake on. But it might look a little flat so I always go for some contour and blush. For the eyes, I like using cream shadows because they usually last longer for an 8+ hour day. To set the cream shadows, I would use a light shimmer powder eyeshadow and a dark matte taupe to give my eyes some definition. During the day, I don't usually go for liquid liner, so a waterproof pencil liner on the tightline would be all I need. With any look, you just can't forget mascara. And a longlasting lip colour will definitely help when work gets too busy.

Nighttime Party Look
To go straight from work to party is tough. I usually switch up my hair style and also my makeup. Instead of starting from scratch, I would touch up my base and brows to save time (make sure you blot first if you're as oily as I am). And then I would go for a more enhanced look for eyeshadows, like a taupey smokey eyes (Shimmer Down all over the lid, Kiss Me I'm Tipsy in the outer corner and crease, Gilt-y Pleasure in the inner corner, Tickle Me Ivory as brow highlight) but not too intense. If I want my eyes to pop, I would apply some liquid liner. And to add a glow, I like to use a cream highlighter that would go well on top of powder. Since it's a party, it's the perfect time to ditch the "my-lips-but-better" and go for a darker lip. Finally, I always wear a dress, so getting something to make your legs shine and more importantly look smooth is a must.

It was such a treat to hang out with the gals at Benefit. Even though we didn't get to look at some top secret projects (bummer LOL), we really got to experience the spirit of Benefit, which translate very well to their office decors. If you want to see what Benefit and other Beauty Bloggers, including yours truly, were up to, follow the hashtag #BreakfastwithBenefit on both Twitter and Instagram to find out more!
Until next time,
