Dior Diorblush in Corail Bagatelle Continues the Coral Saga | Review, Photos & Swatches

February 17, 2014

Have you ever saw something on a magazine and knew at that moment you definitely need it in your life? Ya that happens might be far too often.  But if I'm just talking about as of lately, it happened when I saw the Dior Diorblush Trianon Édition in Corail Bagatelle (CA $44 / US $43) on a Japanese magazine.  The colour right down to the bow embossment whispered my name.  Much to my anticipation, it turns out to be just as delicious looking as it is when it's put into test.

The colour is the perfect coral pink, it is quite similar to last year's Dior Diorskin Nude Tan Paradise Duo in Coral Glow but it's more pink and hence a little more user friendly than the latter.  The blush has a good colour payoff but weirdly it doesn't swatch that well at first.  Don't let that fool you because it applies on so nicely with a cheek brush (I like to use MAC 168).

The texture is great and easy to blend.  It is not buttery soft but it is a good thing in this case because it won't create fall outs all over your vanity.  I like that I can wear it softy or build it up to a more intense colour without looking cakey or chalky.  It also has pretty good lasting power as I still see myself blushing at the end of an 8-9 hour day.

I didn't really care for the brush it came in.  It is too flimsy for my liking.  I do think because of its shape, it'll be good for contouring, so I'm not going to throw it away.

Swatches: Blended and Heavy
Coral Bagatelle on cheeks; Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadows on eyes, Dior Addict Lip Glow in Coral & Dior Addict Lip Gloss in Exquisse on Lips

Dior has still yet to fail me on the cheeks category. If you are on a market on a coral blush, make sure to check this one out.  It's a great pinky coral that is very fitting for the Trianon Collection.  It is also great for both Spring and Summer.  And how can you pass off the cutesy bow embossment?

Until next time,

x Rica
