Lookbook: Haute Street Style | Shu Uemura Vision of Beauty Vol. 2 Collection
I'm guilty of sticking to what works and not being adventurous at times. So when something just spark my creativity, I try to push myself to seize it right away. That something is the Shu Uemura Vision of Beauty Vol.2: Haute Street Collection.
I was inspired by the Cool x Chic look by Shu Uemura, and I did my own rendition of it. Everything was done with the Cool x Chic Eye Shadow Palette (easy to use as usual, it's the buildable kinda product) and Dual-Ended Eye Color Pencil (so creamy and opaque, and great as a base colour).
Here are two ways (out of many) you can wear this collection:
#1 Subtle Coloured Flick
Using the darkest shade in the Cool x Chic palette, follow along the eyelid and draw a subtle flick. Connect the flick to your lower lash line, and extend the line to the outer edge of the pupil of your eye. Apply a little bit of the bright turquoise underneath the deep purple line to create a bigger contrast and to add more drama.
#2 Defining Hook
Apply the lightest lilac colour all over your lid. Building on top of #2, extend your flick up to the crease of your eyelid. Then from the tip, draw inward and stop when you hit the crease. Add the purple shade between the lines for some colour and definition. Using the Dual-Ended Eye Color Pencil in Cool x Chic, line the outer half of the lower lash line with the bright blue end and the inner half with lime green end. Top these off with the corresponding colour in the palette.
For these looks, I also used the Tint in Gelato Lip Color in Street Rose for both lip and cheek. They are these demi-matte lip and cheek mousse that are so pigmented you need to be careful. They changed up the packaging now, which I love, but the formula is the same as last time, at least from what I can tell. Find my original review here.
But if lip/cheek cream/gel ain't your thing, the collection also comes with their famous Rouge Unlimited lipsticks, which as always are über creamy, shiny, and moisturizing. You can build it up for a more opaque look or just a sheer wash of colour.

Other things to note, I find the Warm x Vibrant colour is a bit like if I were to combine last year's orange palette with the pink palette. Not entirely the same, but there's definitely similarity. So if you're interest to create a look with the Warm x Vibrant palette, check out a fun little look I did last year with the Vision of Beauty Vol. 1: Brave Beauty collection.
Are you guilty like me who likes to play it safe for the most part (with makeup I mean)? Or are you always adventurous with your makeup? Leave a comment and let me know :).
Until next time,
