Spring/March-to-April 2013 Favourites!

It has been so long since I have done a post on my favourite products at the moment, so since I did discover some goodies in the past few months, I thought I'd share what they are!

First up, face makeup.  Since the weather has been nicer lately, I've been reaching for my dear friend — Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Ultra Light Skin Perfecting Makeup in B20.

I think I've mentioned it a couple times in the past, and it's safe to say that it's probably one of my all time favourite because it's the only bottle of foundation that I am finishing up.  It gives a skin-looking finish while providing good medium coverage (for me anyway) with a subtle satin finish.  It is moisturizing yet light-weight, and it does a quite decent job staying put on my oily skin.

Since Summer is coming up, I have been changing it up with my blushers.  I was obsessed with Benefit Box O' Powder in Hervana for the entire winter, but recently, I have using her older sister, Bella Bamba, pretty much exclusively.

It is a watermelon colour with fine gold glitter.  The shimmer is very subtle and it gives your cheeks a very nice healthy glow.  It is also very pigmented, so I usually take a stippling brush like MAC 187 to apply it or I will use a blush brush like MAC 168 to lightly dab into the powder and pounce it on my cheeks.

Happy Friday!  Every Friday is casual Friday at the office (technically jeans day, but I don't normally like jeans, especially during the Summer).  Anyway, so my jewelery can a little bit more causal and less "classy".


I wore my American Eagle peace bracelet, which I got back when I was in university.  To be honest, their accessories are a little bit pricey for what they are, but I usually try to shop sale to get a good deal.  This peace wrap bracelet has last me almost three years and it's still going strong, so they're definitely of great quality.

I can't believe I'm already half way through my one week challenge.  It really does push me to shop my stash and try to be more creative :).  Anyhow, I got an important date tonight.  I don't know where I'm going but I know I want to look put together, yet it won't look like I'm trying too hard.  So I'm going to keep things simple...


The bangle with crystal shown here is from Swarovski.  It was a gift from my aunt, so I don't even know when this came out.  It was sitting in her drawer for too long, so she handed it down to me =).  Well, I'm just going to put it to use then!  This bangle is quite small, even for my small wrists.  So I have to be careful when I put it on because it can pinch your skin, just like the first time my aunt put it on my wrist =.="...  So if you're buying similar things from Swarovski, make sure to take your time putting it on!  I'm pairing it with a J.Crew bangle that was shown in my yesterday's WOTD.



Now, this might seem a little boring, so let's take a look what other jewelery that I have prepared for my important night...

Most of my jewelery are quite dainty... ya... it might not seem like that especially for the first WOTD I did, but trust me, more often than not, I am drawn to smaller jewelery instead of some in-your-face bold ones.  But even so, I like to pile them on, if not they'll feel lonely LOL.


Since about 20% of my wardrobe is blue in colour, this J.Crew light blue bangle works perfect for most work days.  And I'm also going to put my new white Shamballa bracelet (similar here), which is also from J.Crew that I got with the light blue bangle just a couple days ago.  I actually bought the white one, along with my turquoise bead/rhinestone one two months ago, but return it because I couldn't justify getting both at one go.  When I went to J.Crew last weekend, they were having an extra 30% off sale, so I went at a great timing! XD
