Happy Sunday!  I'm sure you have noticed that this week has really been about shopping.  It's so happen that this is my birthday month, so I've gone a little overboard.  Anyhow, since I have missed a week of Sunday Summary, I'll include some posts from last last week as well.  Let's rewind...

*****

Valentine's day is just around the corner.  I have been in a lash mode lately and have been really enjoying wearing them.  Check out my favourite pairs at the moment and see if you might try them out for Valentine's day =)

I am rather new to eBay.  I have always knew it and have browsed it, but just never bought anything off it.  Last year, I created an account to buy the infamous Focco bags.  I made my first beauty purchase on eBay this year for some Japanese beauty products.  I might have forgot to mention that everything I got was from a seller called alphabeautyuk.  See what I got from them!

Sunday Summary (Feb. 12, 2012): It seems like it was all about shopping lately

I promised I'd be reviewing the products I got from Shop MAC, Cook MAC collection.  First up, Kissable Lipcolour.  As mentioned in my haul posts, I bought two Kissable Lipcolour from the collection - Enchantée and So Vain.

The colours I picked are more wearable, at least in my book, that I could wear to work without having others staring at me for rocking a "bold" look.

MAC Kissable Lipcolour Enchantée and So Vain

Enchantée is of a slight blue based pale pink colour.  It reminds me MAC Viva Glam Gaga Lipstick and Lipgloss.  As if it is a hybrid of the lipstick and the lipgloss, but it is a warmer and slight darker shade.

So Vain is peachy coral colour, which looks darker in the tube than it is on the lips.  I would classify is as a coral nude, if it makes sense.  That is because it looks very natural on the lips but still gives a pop of colour (if this makes sense, again).  Fortunately, I don't own anything like that, so no dupe for me =P.

MAC Kissable Lipcolour So Vain

On MAC website, it says that the Kissable Lipcolours are "Delicious...flows on with the slick ease of a gloss. Has a look as creamy and pigment-rich as a lipstick."  Let's take a look at the swatches on my hand.

MAC Kissable Lipcolour - From L to R: Enchantée and So Vain

The formula of this range of Lipcolour is spectacular.  It's true to its description above, as if it is a lipstick in a lipgloss tube.  It is also moisturizing like a gloss, but creamy and pigmented, and also have a long staying power.  It lasted on me for about 4 hours before they start to fade but didn't really fade completely.  The downside of this formula is that it's like a gloss, so it'll stick around your mouth and accumulate at the opening when you apply too much.  Here are some lip swatches... (please excuse my chapped lips)

On to the packaging, the box that these came in is obviously really cute and colourful.  I love the packaging of this collection.  However when you slide off the "case", it's just your normal MAC black packaging.

It comes in a doe foot applicator like most MAC Lipglosses.  It's a VERY skinny tube and only contain 0.17 fl. oz, which is not a super great deal.  But I hate the stopper because it makes your product accumulate there and gets really icky with use, even if you pull the applicator out really carefully.  And hence a lot of product will go to waste.

However, since the colour and the formula are really high quality, I can't help but get pass that part.  I just adore these!

Overall, I really like these Kissable Lipcolour, I wish I could get more, but that's just not a good idea for me.  I think that all the colours they picked for this product is very wearable, and very universal.  You can probably find at least one colour in those five that will suit you.  They make your lips quite "kissable" because they're pretty moisturizing and make your lips look juicy =P.

These are, unfortunately, limited edition, so they'll be gone pretty quickly, especially Enchantée, which is the last tube from my counter. If you fear you would never see them again and want some backup, you probably would like to know that all give colours they put out this time are repromotes.  They all came out first in the Peacocky collection.  So it's not impossible that they would bring it back.  Though, if you like them, you might not wanna miss out as they're still available online =).

I really hope they bring them back or make them permanent though, because these are far better than a lot of existing lip products in their line up.  So, did you pick any of these lip colours?  What are/would be your favourite from the five?  I'd like to know.

x Rica

I'm being very bad at my "shopping ban"... I was limiting myself only to one beauty and clothing purchase per month, but it didn't work out so well... It's all because of the newest MAC Collection - Shop MAC Cook MAC.  To be honest I have not hauled at MAC for about half a year.  I do go to the warehouse sale, but not really to the store, unless for essential stuff, like their Studio Finish Concealer and Blot Powder.  But this collection kind of wow-ed me in with their colourful display, as well as the lip and cheek products!  So I got these three things...

Yesterday, I posted about my trip Buffalo last weekend with Joyce, Emily, and Michele.  I shared a little (fail) photo + travel log with you guys.  Now it’s time to show what beauty products I got for myself for my birthday (there are two extra things that I got before the trip that are included here =P).  I didn’t really get a lot of beauty products , but there’s two that are more on the hefty side of the price tag...

Haul galore

Preface: We totally failed at the picture taking department during this trip. We have pictures here and there but not everywhere. I think we might need to go back soon lol... Anyhow, it'll be a rather wordy post... oops =P

Aside from Winterlicious on Saturday, the other thing I did during my birthday weekend is a road trip with my girls, Joyce, Emily, and Michele.  Our destination was to Buffalo because it’s just over 2 hours drive and it’s the day the Jason Wu for Target collection comes out.  I was so excited for this trip because it’s my first girl friends-only road trip!

Our schedule was intense, we met up before 6 in the morning at my place, and left at 6:10am (sorry girls, I have to finish curling the last few strands lol).  I really wanna go on the road early so I didn’t put on makeup.  Thank goodness I was having a good skin day =).  The ride there doesn’t feel that long, but I guess it’s because we were talking the whole time, so time seems to fly by.

our shopping cart lol

After about two and a half hours of driving we got to the Target beside Walden Galleria.  The first place we went is the Jason Wu collection.  We arrived an hour after they opened, so it was a tad late to get all those pretty dresses, we were all kind of upset, but we still manage to haul a bit from that collection.
The next thing we looked at was shoes section.  Target has a amazing collection of shoes at a very affordable price.  I got a pair of faux moccasin for $6!  It’s so comfy and I’m just going to wear it everywhere.
