I love this time of the year.  The Sun is out.  There is a nice breeze and it's not too hot.  It's also time for a eventful season with Toronto.  One of the biggest is the Luminato Festival that happens every year around downtown Toronto feature art, music, film, theatre, etc.  As the Partner of Creativity of Luminato, every year L'Oréal Canada will have different activation around town for event goers.

By now, you might already know about my lip balm obsessions (here, here & here).  I especially love tinted lip balms because they are the best gift to a lazy girl who still want something to make their lips pop.  Naturally, you know I'll be there ready when Benefit Moisturizing Tinted Lip Balms (CA $22 / US $18) are released.

It's finally here! The Herbal Essence Naked Collection has arrived and I'm pretty excited because of what this range has promised.  They are 11 hair products (shampoos, conditioners, stylers) that are residue, parabens and dye free, so your hair can feel weightless.  My hair is already flat and my scalp gets oily easily, so the last thing I want is having ingredients in my hair products that weigh my hair down even more.

This week I want to point the spotlight on the Herbal Essence Naked Volume Dry Shampoo ($4.99).  This little baby is probably the first drugstore dry shampoo (or any dry shampoo) that smells good, leaves no white residues, and actually works.  The reason I wash my hair every day is because I have yet to find a dry shampoo that works, until now.  Most will work maybe the first few times, and then it just stop working, but the Herbal Essence Naked Dry Shampoo just keep on giving.

I love it has a refreshing and clean smell, not overly pungent or fake.  It also goes away really quickly, which is nice.  It dispense very fine spray and it doesn't "overdose" your hair with dry shampoo.  It gives slight volume, having flat pin straight hair definitely doesn't help.  I would say the only downside is that it is a pretty small bottle, but for less than $5? I'm not gonna complain.

To be honest though, I would still wash my hair more frequently than suggested just because I love that clean feeling after... I am going to try the
Herbal Essence Naked Moisture Cleansing Conditioner ($8.49).  I hope this will be my solution so I don't have to wash it every day and feel guilty afterwards.

Until next time,

x Rica

I might have a slight problem with lippies at the moment.  I want to be like "I go through phases of loving blushes, lipsticks, eyeshadows", but the truth is I am just a lip product junkie.  That's it, it's out there.  And when I saw the Dior Addict Fluid Sticks (CA $36 / US$35) coming out, oh man, let me tell you how excited my face was.  Now some of you may think, "Rica, I thought you don't like glosses".  Yes, that is true (although I may be converting but that's for another day), but these are not exactly lip glosses or a lipstick.  It is, as its name suggests, a fluid lipstick.

I am always running late in the morning (or in general).

I try hard to stick to a schedule, but here I am blogging at 1:38AM, it's a vicious cycle.  With a full face of makeup on, I look sickly if I don't put on a lip colour, which happens a lot and I usually notice it after I left home.  Sometimes, you really just need a lipstick that you can apply without a mirror and it looks great, well, Dior Addict Extreme Lipsticks do just that.
